Internet of Things (IoT) is a technology trend based on the rapid development of information and communication technology. IoT applications allow data on physical objects (e.g. products, spare parts, production machines, tools, warehouses/production halls, vehicles, etc.) to be captured automatically, transferred automatically and evaluated automatically. Thus, information with semantic meaning can be generated and made available location-independently. Despite the great technological potential, the identification and development of concrete, value-enhancing IoT applications is a major challenge. We develop approaches and tools to promote the identification and development of value-enhancing IoT applications.
